Table 4 shows the results of a survey conducted by an insurance company about the working conditions at its Central office. Seven aspects of working conditions were investigated and 3 of them are major problems that we need to investigate further.
3.1 Equipment
The area of equipment is considered a problem because more than half of the junior staff and a quarter of senior staff are not satisfied with it. Staff there cannot work efficiently and quickly due to the old computer s and old software in computers. This leads to the dissatisfaction among the staff there.
3.2 Office furniture
Nearly three quarters of junior staff and a quarter of senior staff are not satisfied with the area of office furniture was considered a problem. Staff are not satisfied with the old furniture, therefore they have to take sick leave usually.
3.3 Pantry
Only half of the junior and senior staff are satisfied with the pantry. The reason is that there is only one microwave oven and pantry is too small. Therefore, they have to leave the company to have lunch which makes them work inefficiently.
